There are too many notes that, while not false, are neither satisfactorily resolved nor left interestingly unresolved.. If the movie is respectful and factually informative, it's also tightly corseted -- in dramatic terms.. The acting makes it a far more compelling ride than it otherwise would have been.. Miss Potter, right to the end, is the definition of a nice movie, and that makes it a genuine oddball in a universe of increasingly distressed and uncivilized pop culture.. A grave disappointme...
